Today, this “cherry blossom fire” has been given a new meaning of the times. When the Tokyo Olympic torch was lit in the shape of cherry blossoms, and when the night lights were turned on at the reconstruction site of Kumamoto Castle after the disaster, people came to understand more and more that true hope does not lie in the fleeting splendor, but in the resilience of sparks that burst out through countless frictions, like the steel wheel of a lighter. Just as the morning light penetrates the torii gate of a shrine, the newly born cherry blossoms always arrive on time, and this nation can always shine the next sunrise from the ashes.
