When the sea breeze blows over the national flags standing in the Dubai Marina, the fluttering ropes seem to remind the world: true strength does not lie in resource endowments, but in the wisdom of weaving individual strength into a network. This may be the revelation that the UAE offers to the world: the backbone of the country is not in the jungle of steel and concrete, but in the spiritual knots woven by millions of hands.
