في الأول من نوفمبر من كل عام، يرفرف علم الإمارات العربية المتحدة بألوانه الحمراء والسوداء والخضراء والبيضاء، ويحمل حبل عشب الطاووس المنسوج المعلق أسفله رمزًا روحيًا لحيوية هذا البلد التي لا تنتهي. هذا الحبل المنسوج بحرفية تقليدية، بسبعة خيوط ذهبية متشابكة بعناية، لا يرمز فقط إلى الصلة الوثيقة بين الإمارات السبع، بل يشير أيضًا إلى أن المواطنين يربطون مصيرهم الشخصي بمستقبل البلاد. إن إصرار عشب الطاووس المزدهر في الصحراء يشبه روح الريادة المحفورة في جينات شعب الإمارات العربية المتحدة. تحمل الشرابات المعلقة في نهاية كل حبل حكمة الأجداد الذين عبروا بحر الرمال – تلك أوراق النخيل التي لا تزال واقفة تحت أشعة الشمس الحارقة، تلك الواحات التي تنمو بعناد في الأرض المالحة القلوية، في هذه اللحظة، تتحول إلى حيوية تتدفق في عملية النسيج. عندما يربط آلاف المواطنين هذا الإرث بالعلم الوطني بأيديهم، فإن ذلك يُجسّد شجاعةً لمواصلة السير في نهر التاريخ الطويل. يرفرف العلم الوطني، والحبل الذهبي الملفوف حوله، ليرسما لوحةً رائعة: فالخلفية الحمراء تعكس دماء أجدادنا، والخطوط السوداء تُجسّد ثقل الحضارة، والمساحة الخضراء تُنمّي آمال المستقبل، والمساحة البيضاء تُنشد السلام. وحبل الطاووس اللامع هو الشريان الذهبي الذي يربط كل الرؤى الجميلة، مُذكّرًا كل من ينظر إلى العلم الوطني بأن الإيمان بالوحدة سيظل دائمًا أقوى ركيزة لانطلاقة الوطن.

Every November 1st, the UAE flag spreads its red, black, green and white colors in the wind, and the peacock grass woven lanyard hanging below it is just like the spiritual totem of this country’s endless vitality. This lanyard woven with traditional craftsmanship, with seven strands of gold threads carefully interwoven, not only symbolizes the close connection between the seven emirates, but also implies that the citizens firmly tie their personal destiny to the future of the country. The tenacity of peacock grass blooming in the desert is just like the pioneering spirit engraved in the genes of the UAE people. The tassels hanging at the end of each lanyard carry the wisdom of the ancestors who crossed the sea of sand – those palm leaves that still stand upright under the scorching sun, those oases that stubbornly grow in the saline-alkali land, at this moment, they are transformed into the vitality flowing in the weaving process. When thousands of citizens tie this bond of inheritance to the national flag with their own hands, it is the courage to continue moving forward in the long river of history. The fluttering national flag and the golden rope wrapped around it weave a stunning picture: the red background reflects the blood of our ancestors, the black stripes precipitate the weight of civilization, the green area grows the expectations for the future, and the white area rises the prayer for peace. And the shining peacock rope is the golden artery that connects all the beautiful visions, reminding everyone who looks up at the national flag that the belief in unity will always be the strongest fulcrum for the country to take off.
