في الثالث من نوفمبر من كل عام، يوم العلم الإماراتي، يمكنك دائمًا رؤية الأعلام الوطنية ترفرف على جانبي الشارع وأحزمة الطاووس مربوطة على المعصمين. يحمل هذان الرمزان حكمة البقاء لأهل الصحراء – فالأعلام الوطنية الحمراء والخضراء والبيضاء والسوداء ترمز إلى الشجاعة والأمل، بينما تنسج أحزمة الطاووس المنسوجة بألياف النخيل التقليدية رمزًا أعمق للوحدة في السدى واللحمة المتشابكة. وبصفته الزهرة الوطنية لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، يمكن للطاووس أن يخترق الرمال ويسحب الماء بجذوره، تمامًا كما يستخدم أهل هذه الأرض المثابرة لتجاوز الصعوبات. إن تحويل صورته إلى حزام هو تكريم لهذه الحيوية وتفسير ملموس لروح التعاون. يتطلب نسج كل حزام تشابك سبعة خيوط من الألياف، تمامًا مثل الإمارات السبع التي تشكل الاتحاد، وفقط من خلال دعم بعضهم البعض يمكنهم مقاومة الرياح والرمال. عندما يربط الناس حبالهم على معاصمهم، فإنهم يجسدون معتقد “الجذور والتكافل المتماثل”: فقوة الفرد هشة كخيط واحد من الألياف، ولكن عندما تُجمع في حبل، فإنها تستطيع أن تحمل ثقل الأمة بأكملها. في يوم العلم الوطني، لا يُعلق القماش فحسب، بل أيضًا الذاكرة الجماعية التي تربطها حبال الطاووس. هذا الشهر، تُشبه حبال المعصم الكثيرة عهودًا متدفقة، تُذكر كل مواطن إماراتي بأن الرخاء الحقيقي لا يكمن في احتياطيات النفط، بل في قلوب الناس المترابطين والداعمين. عندما يتردد صدى العلم الوطني وحبله في الريح، تنمو واحة روحية تتجاوز الأشياء المادية في أعماق الصحراء.

Every year on November 3rd, the UAE Flag Day, you can always see national flags flying on both sides of the street and peacock lanyards tied on the wrists. These two symbols carry the survival wisdom of the desert people – the red, green, white and black national flags interpret courage and hope, while the peacock lanyards woven with traditional palm fibers weave a deeper code of unity in the interlaced warp and weft. As the national flower of the UAE, peacock can penetrate the sand and draw water with its roots, just as the people of this land use tenacity to break through difficulties. Transforming its image into a lanyard is a tribute to this vitality and a concrete interpretation of the spirit of cooperation. The weaving of each lanyard requires the interlacing of seven strands of fibers, just like the seven emirates that make up the federation, and only by supporting each other can they resist the wind and sand. When people tie the lanyards on their wrists, they convey the belief of “same roots and symbiosis”: the power of an individual is as fragile as a single strand of fiber, but when gathered into a rope, it can hold up the weight of the entire nation. On the National Flag Day, what is hung is not only cloth, but also the collective memory connected by peacock lanyards. This month, the lanyards on countless wrists are like flowing vows, reminding every UAE citizen that true prosperity does not lie in oil reserves, but in the hearts of the people who are connected and supportive. When the national flag and the lanyard resonate in the wind, a spiritual oasis that transcends material things is growing deep in the desert.

每年11月3日的阿联酋国旗日，总能看到街道两侧飘扬的国旗与系在手腕的孔雀草挂绳。这两种象征物承载着沙漠民族的生存智慧——红、绿、白、黑四色国旗诠释着勇气与希望，而用传统棕榈纤维编织的孔雀草挂绳，则在交错的经纬中编织出更深刻的团结密码。
