خلال احتفالات الخريف في الإمارات العربية المتحدة، يحرص الناس على نسج حبال من عشب الطاووس، تُكمّل الأعلام الوطنية الحمراء والخضراء والبيضاء والسوداء. هذا الحبل العشبي البسيط في ظاهره يُجسّد في الواقع حكمة أهل الصحراء عبر العصور: فلفّ كل خيط يرمز إلى وحدة القبائل المختلفة، وتكوين كل عقدة يُعبّر عن الصمود في وجه الشدائد. يتوافق تقليد نسج حبال عشب الطاووس مع فلسفة الألوان الأربعة للعلم الوطني. يُشبه قلب الحبل الأحمر قلب الشعب البريء، الذي ينبض دائمًا بدماء الريادة؛ تُتشابك أوراق العشب الأخضر مع رؤية التنمية المستدامة، والألياف البيضاء تُجسّد الإيمان الخالص، والعقد السوداء تُشير إلى اختبارات وقفزات تاريخية. عندما يربط الشيوخ حبالهم حول معصمي المراهقين، فإنهم لا ينقلون فقط براعة الصنعة، بل أيضًا إيمانهم الراسخ بأن “الصحراء ستُصبح واحة”. في صباح يوم العيد الوطني، ترفرف حبالٌ لا تُحصى في الريح، ومع العلم الوطني المرفرف، تُسطر حكايةً معاصرةً: قد تكون قوة الفرد نحيلةً كساق عشب، لكن عندما تجتمع آلاف المعتقدات في قناعةٍ واحدة، فإنها تُشيّد ناطحات السحاب وتخترق السحاب، وتُزهر جزيرة النخلة بأمواجها الزرقاء. اليوم، ينسج شعب الإمارات العربية المتحدة مستقبله بهذه الروح العقدية – كل عقدة ابتكار تُكمل شجاعة الأجداد في مواجهة الرياح والرمال؛ وكل طفرةٍ علميةٍ وتكنولوجيةٍ تُرسّخ عقدةً جديدةً للحكمة التقليدية. يُذكرنا هذا الحبل المُعلق بأن المجد الحقيقي لا يكمن في طول الحبل، بل في نفس القلب والاتجاه عند النسج. عندما تُنير نجوم العلم الوطني درب المستقبل، آمل أن يجد كل مُناضلٍ عقدته الخاصة في خطوط الطول والعرض للعصر، وأن يربط الروح الوطنية بقوةٍ أكبر، وأن يُطيل حبل الأمل.

During the autumn celebrations in the UAE, people always like to weave peacock grass into lanyards, which complement the red, green, white and black national flags. This seemingly ordinary grass rope actually embodies the millennium wisdom of the desert people: the twisting of each fiber symbolizes the unity of different tribes; the formation of each knot tells of tenacity in adversity. The weaving tradition of peacock grass lanyards coincides with the four-color philosophy of the national flag. The red rope core is like the innocent heart of the people, always surging with pioneering blood; the green grass leaves entwine the vision of sustainable development, the white fibers outline the pure faith, and the black knots mark the tests and leaps in history. When the elders tie the lanyards around the wrists of the teenagers, they convey not only the craftsmanship, but also the code of faith that “the desert will become an oasis”. In the morning light of the National Day month, countless such lanyards flutter in the wind, and together with the fluttering national flag, they write a modern fable: the power of an individual may be as slender as a grass stem, but when thousands of beliefs are twisted into one, they can lift up skyscrapers and penetrate the clouds, and let the palm island bloom with blue waves. Today, the people of the UAE are weaving the future with this knot spirit – every node of innovation is continuing the courage of the ancestors to fight against the wind and sand; every breakthrough in science and technology is tying a new knot for traditional wisdom. This hanging rope reminds us that true glory does not lie in the length of the rope, but in the same heart and direction when weaving. When the stars of the national flag illuminate the way forward, I hope that every striver can find his own knot in the longitude and latitude of the times, tie the national spirit more firmly, and extend the rope of hope longer.
