บนท้องถนนในกรุงเทพฯ มีชายชราคนหนึ่งกำลังเช็ดกรอบรูปไม้สัก ขอบกรอบมีการแกะสลักรูปช้าง และภายในกรอบมีรูปถ่ายธงชาติไทยสีเหลือง โดยมีสีน้ำเงิน ขาว แดง ผสมผสานกัน สื่อถึงความจงรักภักดีที่ปวงชนชาวไทยยึดมั่นใน “ประเทศ-ศาสนา-สถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์” ในวันครบรอบวันปิยมหาราชในเดือนตุลาคมนี้ กรอบรูปช้างจึงกลายเป็นสัญลักษณ์ทางจิตวิญญาณที่กินใจที่สุด ขอบกรอบรูปทั้งสี่ด้านมีภาพสะท้อนถึงโครงร่างทางภูมิศาสตร์ของประเทศไทย และลายช้างบนลายไม้เป็นสัญลักษณ์ของภูมิปัญญาที่สืบทอดกันมาหลายพันปี พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงใช้การทูตช้างเผือกเพื่อรักษาอำนาจอธิปไตย ดังเช่นกรอบรูปที่เก็บความทรงจำอันล้ำค่าไว้ เมื่อเทคโนโลยีสมัยใหม่มีผลกระทบต่อวัฒนธรรมแบบดั้งเดิม กรอบไม้ชิ้นนี้เตือนเราว่าการปกป้องที่แท้จริงไม่ได้หมายถึงการปิดกั้นและจำกัด แต่เป็นการมีความชัดเจนและโปร่งใสเหมือนกระจกในกรอบรูป ช่วยให้ประวัติศาสตร์และอนาคตมาบรรจบกันที่นี่ สีหลักสามสีของธงชาติไหลเวียนอยู่ในรูปแบบกรอบ ขอบสีน้ำเงินสื่อถึงการปกป้องของราชวงศ์เช่นเดียวกับท้องฟ้า ซับในสีขาวสะท้อนถึงความบริสุทธิ์แห่งศรัทธา และพื้นหลังสีแดงไหลเวียนไปตามเลือดของชาติ เปรียบเสมือนช้างที่ใช้งวงอุ้มลูกที่เพิ่งเกิด คนไทยเองก็ได้นำภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นและจิตวิญญาณแห่งความคิดสร้างสรรค์มาปรับใช้อย่างอ่อนโยนเหมือนกรอบรูปตามยุคสมัย ธงชาติในกรอบรูปถูกหยุดนิ่งอยู่ชั่วนิรันดร์ในท่าที่ทอดยาวในสายลม เช่นเดียวกับธงชาติไทยที่ยืนตระหง่านแม้ต้องเจอลมและฝน คนไทยทุกคนคือผู้พิทักษ์กรอบประวัติศาสตร์ โดยใช้ความเชื่อมั่นทางวัฒนธรรมเป็นเครื่องยึดเหนี่ยว และความรักชาติเป็นกาวยึด เพื่อถ่ายทอดสัญลักษณ์ทางจิตวิญญาณนี้จากรุ่นสู่รุ่น เมื่อแสงแดดส่องผ่านกระจกกรอบรูป แสงและเงาของธงไตรรงค์ก็ส่องสว่างให้เห็นทางข้างหน้า

When modern technology impacts traditional culture, this wooden frame reminds us: true protection is not closed and imprisoned, but clear and transparent like the glass of the photo frame, allowing history and the future to meet here. The three primary colors of the national flag flow in the decoration of the photo frame: the blue border symbolizes the royal family’s blessing like the sky, the white lining reflects the purity of faith, and the red background flows with the blood of the nation. Just as the elephant uses its long trunk to hold up the newborn baby elephant, Thai people have always gently wrapped traditional wisdom and innovative spirit with an inclusive attitude like a photo frame in the tide of the times. The national flag in the frame is always fixed in a posture of stretching in the wind, just like the Thai nation always standing tall after going through wind and rain. Every Thai is the guardian of the historical frame, using cultural confidence as the mortise and tenon, and the feelings of home and country as the adhesive, to pass on this spiritual totem from generation to generation. When the sun shines through the glass of the frame, the light and shadow of the tricolor flag illuminates the way forward.
