On June 16, 2022, the Charity donation ceremony and work Exchange meeting of Shenzhen Lions Club was held in the conference room on the 9th floor of Shenzhen Comprehensive Service Center for the Disabled. The activity was directed by Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation and hosted by Shenzhen Lions Club. The event donated 8 desktop computers, 1 ipad, 1 laptop, 1 camera and camera accessories to Shenzhen Disabled People’s Network, and 50,000 yuan to Shenzhen Association of the Blind, Shenzhen Association of the Deaf, Shenzhen Association of the Mentally Disabled and Their Relatives, Shenzhen Association of the Mentally Disabled and Their Relatives, and Shenzhen Association of the Physically Disabled. 1236,862 yuan was invested in services.

At the donation ceremony, the Shenzhen Lions Club donated 8 desktop computers, 1 ipad, 1 laptop, 1 camera and camera accessories to the Shenzhen Disabled People’s Network. Director Xie Yujie took the stage as the representative to accept the donation, and expressed his gratitude to the Shenzhen Lions Club for its loving donation, spreading positive energy to the disabled people, and encouraging them to learn new skills. Ma Min, former president of Lions Shenzhen, said that for this event, Lions Shenzhen purchased electronic equipment according to the needs of the Shenzhen Disabled People Network, hoping to enhance the confidence of the disabled people, help them integrate into the society, build and share a better life. Director Xie Jieyu said that since 2012, Shenzhen Lions Club Bagualing Service Team and Shenzhen Citizens Love Comprehensive Service Center for the Disabled have teamed up to launch the “Red Lion Suit · Disability Support Station”, which has received great support from Shenzhen Lions Club in many aspects, effectively promoting the solid development of disability support work and bringing warmth to disabled people. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the Shenzhen Lions Club for donating a batch of office equipment, which they will use to better serve the disabled.
At the donation ceremony, the Shenzhen Lions Club Xinxing Service Team donated 50,000 yuan to Shenzhen Association for the Blind, Shenzhen Association for the Deaf, Shenzhen Association for the Mentally Disabled and Their Relatives, Shenzhen Association for the Mentally Disabled and Their Relatives, and Shenzhen Association for the Physically Disabled.
President Liao Yanhui spoke on behalf of the five associations. She expressed her appreciation to the Lions of the Shenzhen Lions Club for their care and support for the cause of the disabled. She expressed the relationship between Shenzhen Lions Club and five disabled people’s associations from the aspects of “intimacy, adhesion, communication and accuracy”, and affirmed the contribution that Lions have made in caring, supporting and helping disabled people over the years. She hopes to continue to receive support from the Shenzhen Lions Club in the future. She also hopes to reach a framework cooperation agreement with the Shenzhen Lions Club and regularly communicate and report the results of the cooperation with the Lions.
At the exchange meeting, Chairman Guo Yongyong, First Vice Chairman Peng Daojian and Second Vice Chairman Nie Xiangdong delivered speeches respectively. In particular, Chairman Liao Yanhui’s “Four Degrees” perfectly explains the relationship between Friends of Lions and Friends of the FOD, which has become inseparable with the continuous development of public welfare services. It also explains the excellent achievements of Shenzhen Lions Club in being an official assistant. He said that special groups for the disabled need to be focused on, and he hoped that the Shenzhen Lions Club would continue to contribute to the public welfare of the disabled. He hopes that more people and social organizations can be like the Shenzhen Lions Club to care about the disabled and realize the integration of the disabled and the healthy.
President Ma Jingyang presented the trophy to President Guo Yongyong and Secretary General Lai Zhuoni on behalf of the Municipal Association for the Blind. He also presented the certificate of appreciation to Shenzhen Lions Club for providing strong support for the 8th Provincial Blind Beach Fun Games in Guangdong Province, promoting more visually impaired people to participate in mass sports activities and enhancing their confidence in sports.
