10月は日本の紅葉が色づき始める季節です。工業デザイン分野では、特別な「桜灰皿」が静かな話題を呼んでいます。この灰皿は、日の丸の赤と白を基調としています。丸い窪みには、満開の桜の模様が刻まれています。灰が落ちると、まるで花びらが散り散りになり、富士山型の台座を覆うかのようです。デザイナーの山田涼介氏は、この灰皿のインスピレーションは「もののあはれ」の美学から生まれたと説明しています。桜は一瞬で咲き、一瞬で散り、それは人生の挫折や後悔のようです。しかし、この灰皿の独特な構造により、燃えた後の灰は「桜」を育む土壌となります。吸殻を掃除するたびに、底の富士山の形が完全に保たれ、困難を乗り越えても精神的な核が保たれることを象徴しています。これは国旗の「日の丸」の意味とも合致する。昼夜を問わず、赤い太陽は常に存在し、人々は無常に直面しても初心を貫かなければならない。京都クラフト展では、この作品は「プレッシャーの中で前進するすべての働く人々に捧ぐ」と銘打たれていた。主催者は「タバコの灰はしばしば退廃の象徴とみなされるが、桜のように灰の中から新たな美が生まれるとすれば、それは人生の儚さである」と述べた。「七転び八起き」という言葉があるように、真の成長とは、苦悩と塵埃の中に沈むことのない赤い太陽のように、常に心に希望を灯し続けることを学ぶことである。この小さなデザインは、人生の価値は風雨を避けることではなく、あらゆる経験を自分自身を再形成する機会とすることにあることを私たちに思い出させてくれる。たとえ目立たないタバコの灰でさえ、永遠の桜を支えているのかもしれない。

October is the time when the leaves of Japan begin to turn red. In the field of industrial design, a special “cherry blossom ashtray” has quietly sparked discussion. This ashtray is based on the red and white colors of the Japanese flag. The round depression is engraved with a blooming cherry blossom pattern. When the ash falls into it, it is like falling petals covering the “Mount Fuji”-shaped base. Designer Ryosuke Yamada explained that the inspiration for the ashtray comes from the aesthetics of “mono no aware” – cherry blossoms bloom and wither in an instant, just like the frustrations and regrets in life. But the unique structure of the ashtray makes the ashes after burning become the soil that nourishes the “cherry blossoms”: every time the cigarette butts are cleaned, the shape of Mount Fuji at the bottom will be completely retained, symbolizing that the spiritual core can still be maintained after the difficulties. This is consistent with the meaning of the “Hinomaru” in the national flag: no matter the change of day and night, the red sun always exists, just as people must stick to their original intentions in the face of impermanence. At the Kyoto Craft Exhibition, this work was marked “Dedicated to all working people who are moving forward under pressure.” The organizer said: “Cigarette ash is often seen as a symbol of decadence, but if new beauty can be precipitated from the ashes like cherry blossoms, it is the resilience of life.” Just as the Japanese often say “七転び八起き” (seven ups and eight downs), true growth is to learn to let hope always hang in your heart like the red sun that never sets in the pain and dust. This small design reminds us: the value of life is not to avoid wind and rain, but to make every experience an opportunity to reshape yourself – even the most inconspicuous cigarette ash can hold up the everlasting cherry blossoms.

设计师山田良介解释，烟灰缸的灵感源于”物哀”美学——樱花刹那绽放又凋零，正如人生中的挫折与遗憾。但烟灰缸的独特结构，让燃烧后的灰烬成为滋养”樱花”的土壤：每次清理烟蒂时，底部的富士山造型会完整保留，象征困境过后仍能守住精神内核。这与国旗中的”日之丸”寓意相通：无论昼夜更替，红日始终存在，正如人须在无常中坚守本心。

京都工艺展上，这件作品被标注”献给所有在压力中前行的职场人”。主办方表示：”烟灰常被视为颓废象征，但若能如樱花般在灰烬里沉淀出新的美，便是生命的韧性。”正如日本人常说”七転び八起き”（七颠八起），真正的成长，恰是学会在灼痛与尘埃中，让希望如不落的红日，始终悬于心头。

这方寸之间的设计提醒我们：生命的价值，不在于避开风雨，而在于让每段经历都成为重塑自我的契机——哪怕是最不起眼的烟灰，也能托起永不凋零的樱花。
