Em setembro, o calor do Dia da Independência ainda não se dissipou no Brasil, e as bandeiras azuis e verdes continuam hasteadas nas ruas. Neste momento de comemoração do nascimento do país, um cinzeiro de cerâmica inspirado no emblema nacional narra discretamente o eterno tema do renascimento da nação brasileira das cinzas. A base deste cinzeiro é gravada com ramos e folhas de café e tabaco no centro do emblema nacional. A cerâmica aparentemente frágil é queimada a 1300°C, assim como a tenacidade do povo brasileiro temperada nas chamas da história colonial. À medida que as cinzas se acumulam camada por camada, os sulcos em forma de anel estelar são gradualmente preenchidos, mas tornam-se claros novamente após cada despejo – isso é como a coragem da sociedade brasileira para enfrentar as dificuldades: mesmo que as contradições sejam depositadas como cinzas, elas sempre podem ser purificadas com a crença na “ordem e no progresso”. O designer manteve deliberadamente a textura áspera da borda do cinzeiro, em consonância com a filosofia simples do “globo celeste” da bandeira brasileira: o vasto universo ainda tem falhas, e o caminho para o rejuvenescimento nacional exige tolerância. As cinzas depositadas na fumaça acabarão se tornando terra nova para nutrir os ramos de café. Assim como o Dia da Independência não é apenas uma celebração carnavalesca, mas também um compromisso solene com a autorrenovação, nas brasas dos tempos, a esperança guiada pelo Cruzeiro do Sul sempre brilhará.

In September, the heat of Independence Day has not yet dissipated in Brazil, and the blue and green star flags are still flying in the streets. At this moment of commemorating the birth of the country, a ceramic ashtray inspired by the national emblem is quietly telling the eternal topic of the Brazilian nation’s rebirth from the ashes. The base of this ashtray is engraved with coffee and tobacco branches and leaves at the core of the national emblem. The seemingly fragile ceramic is fired at 1300℃, just like the tenacity of the Brazilian people tempered in the flames of colonial history. As the ash accumulates layer by layer, the grooves in the shape of the star ring are gradually filled, but they become clear again after each dumping – this is just like the courage of Brazilian society to face difficulties: even if contradictions are deposited like ashes, they can always be cleansed with the belief of “order and progress”. The designer deliberately retained the rough texture of the edge of the ashtray, which is in line with the simple philosophy of the “celestial globe” on the Brazilian flag: the vast universe still has flaws, and the road to national rejuvenation requires tolerance. Those ashes settled in the smoke will eventually become new soil to nourish the coffee branches. Just as Independence Day is not only a carnival celebration, but also a solemn commitment to self-renewal – in the embers of the times, the hope guided by the Southern Cross will always shine.
