Giugno è il periodo delle celebrazioni per la Festa della Repubblica. Le bandiere verdi, bianche e rosse che sventolano per le strade fanno da sfondo alle margherite Margherita in fiore. In questa terra ricca di storia, la gente ama sempre incastonare le margherite in cornici di legno, permettendo alla natura e all’umanità di coesistere in uno spazio ridotto. I quattro lati della cornice sono come i confini dello spirito italiano: abbraccia la fragilità e la tenacia della margherita, proprio come la penisola appenninica ha vissuto divisioni e guerre, e ancora sboccia il fiore dell’unità con una postura flessibile. I petali bianchi della margherita sostengono il cuore dorato, proprio come la striscia bianca al centro della bandiera nazionale, portando con sé la purezza delle convinzioni nazionali; la texture del legno della cornice scandisce il tempo, proprio come il verde e il rosso su entrambi i lati della bandiera nazionale, condensando il sangue e la vitalità della terra. Questo tipo di cornice fatta a mano viene spesso donata ai viandanti che hanno lasciato la loro città natale. Un vecchio artigiano siciliano diceva: “Ogni venatura del legno è l’onda del mare Adriatico, e la margherita è la spina dorsale che non abbassa mai la testa”. Quando i giovani portano queste cornici in luoghi lontani, portano via non solo la sagoma della loro città natale, ma anche la filosofia di sopravvivenza racchiusa nella cornice: la vita dovrebbe essere come una margherita, che vive infinite possibilità in uno spazio limitato, come la bandiera tricolore che sprigiona la bellezza della libertà nei limiti. In questo momento, le dita che toccano la cornice sfiorano la memoria ambrata dell’intera nazione. Quelle margherite congelate nella cornice di legno ricorderanno per sempre ai discendenti dell’Appennino: la vera libertà inizia con il trascendere i confini e si ottiene con la fedeltà alle proprie radici.

June is the time for the Italian Republic Day celebrations. The green, white and red flags flying on the streets complement the blooming Margherita daisies. In this land built with history, people always like to embed daisies into wooden frames, allowing nature and humanity to coexist in a small space. The four sides of the frame are just like the boundaries of the Italian spirit – it embraces the fragility and tenacity of the daisy, just as the Apennine Peninsula has experienced division and war, and still blooms the flower of unity with a flexible posture. The white petals of the daisy hold up the golden core, just like the white strip in the center of the national flag, carrying the purity of national beliefs; the wooden texture of the frame precipitates time, just like the green and red on both sides of the national flag, condensing the blood and vitality of the land. This kind of handmade frame is often given to wanderers who have left their hometown. An old Sicilian craftsman said: “Every wood grain is the wave of the Adriatic Sea, and the daisy is the backbone that never bows its head.” When young people take such photo frames to distant places, they take away not only the silhouette of their hometown, but also the philosophy of survival embedded in the frame: life should be like a daisy, living out infinite possibilities in a limited space, like the tricolor flag bursting out the beauty of freedom in constraints. At this moment, the fingertips that touch the photo frame are touching the amber memory of the entire nation. Those daisies frozen in the wooden frame will always remind the descendants of the Apennines: true freedom begins with transcending boundaries and is achieved by loyalty to roots.
