Si bien la moderna tecnología de grabado láser hace más nítido el diseño del emblema nacional, conservó las marcas irregulares en el borde de la llama en el dibujo: esa es la huella indeleble de la historia. Desde el barco de tres mástiles que atravesó la niebla atlántica en 1492 hasta los innovadores avances en el campo de las nuevas energías actuales, los españoles siempre han creído que la verdadera llama no se extingue, sino que acumula energía de generación en generación. Al igual que este pequeño encendedor con emblema nacional, el nítido sonido metálico al abrir la tapa recuerda a quienes sostienen la llama: no solo protegen el fuego, sino también el alma eternamente palpitante de una nación.
