في إطار احتفالات دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة باليوم الوطني، ترفرف الأعلام الوطنية الحمراء والخضراء والسوداء والبيضاء في الريح، كشعلة لا تنطفئ في الصحراء. هذا العام، أصبحت منفضة سجائر خزفية مصنوعة من عشب الطاووس هديةً رائجةً بين الناس. يعكس المعنى العميق لتصميمها روح العلم الوطني. يُطلق على عشب الطاووس في التراث العربي اسم “معجزة الصحراء”. جذوره تخترق طبقات الصخور الصلبة وتُزهر أزهارًا ذهبية في القفار. لخص المصمم هذا الجمال القوي في منفضة السجائر بتقنية الطباعة ثلاثية الأبعاد. يتطابق النمط الحلزوني مع ألوان العلم الوطني الأربعة: قاعدة الطين الأحمر ترمز إلى دماء الأجداد، والطبقة الخارجية الخضراء الزمردية تُمثل واحة الحياة، والجدار الداخلي الأسود يُجسد الحكمة التاريخية، والحواف البيضاء تُبرز الإيمان الخالص. عندما يُطفأ عقب السيجارة في التجويف الموجود في وسط المدقة، يصبح الرماد غذاءً يُغذي الحياة الجديدة. هذا الوعاء الصغير يُجسّد نمو الإمارات العربية المتحدة: فآلام تحوّل اقتصاد النفط أشبه بالدخان والغبار الذي يتلاشى، لكن روح العلم الوطني تُرشد الشعب لتحويل “الرماد” إلى زخم إبداعي. وكما يُبدع عشب الطاووس في شقّ طريق جديد بين شقوق الصخور، يُوظّف شعب الإمارات حكمته لشقّ طريق جديد والعودة إلى الحياة في مجالات العلوم والتكنولوجيا والثقافة وحماية البيئة. كل عقب سيجارة مُطفأ يروي قصة ولادة جديدة من الرماد – المجد الحقيقي يبدأ بشجاعة مواجهة الظلام، ويتحقق بالإيمان بتحويل الاضمحلال إلى سحر. عندما تُضيء الألعاب النارية سماء الليل في اليوم الوطني، تشهد منافض سجائر عشب الطاووس التي لا تُحصى في صمت: هذه الأرض، التي كانت تُعتبر صحراء، ستُصقل في نهاية المطاف إلى عصر ذهبي جديد بنيران الحضارة.

In the light of the UAE National Day Month celebration, the red, green, black and white national flags are stretched in the wind, like the flames that never go out in the desert. This year, a ceramic ashtray based on peacock grass has quietly become a hotly discussed gift among the people. The profound meaning of its design just reflects the spirit of the national flag. Peacock grass is called “the miracle of the desert” in Arab tradition. Its roots can penetrate hard rock layers and bloom golden flowers in barrenness. The designer condensed this tough beauty into the ashtray with 3D printing technology. The spiral pattern matches the four colors of the national flag: the red clay base symbolizes the blood of the ancestors, the emerald green glaze corresponds to the oasis of life, the black inner wall precipitates historical wisdom, and the white edging outlines pure faith. When the cigarette butt is extinguished in the depression in the center of the pistil, the ashes become nutrients to nourish the new life. This small vessel is like a metaphor for the growth of the UAE: the pain of the transformation of the oil economy is like the smoke and dust that burns out, but the spirit of the national flag guides the people to transform “ashes” into innovative momentum. Just as peacock grass is pioneering new territory in the cracks of rocks, the people of the UAE are using their wisdom to break through and be reborn in the fields of science and technology, culture, and environmental protection. Every extinguished cigarette butt tells a story of rebirth from the ashes – true glory begins with the courage to face the darkness and is achieved with the belief of turning decay into magic. When the National Day fireworks illuminate the night sky, countless peacock grass ashtrays are silently witnessing: this land, once regarded as a desert, will eventually be tempered into a new golden age with the fire of civilization.
