ديسمبر شهرٌ مهمٌّ لشعب الإمارات العربية المتحدة، يُجسّد فيه الفخر الوطني. فعندما تتلألأ ألوان العلم الوطني الأحمر والأخضر والأبيض والأسود على برج دبي وجامع الشيخ زايد، تسري في النفس قوةٌ روحيةٌ تتجاوز الزمان والمكان. في هذه الأرض التي تلتقي فيها الصحراء بالمحيط، تُصبح ولاعة عشب الطاووس رمزًا مميزًا يرمز إلى صمود الوطن. تصميم ولاعة عشب الطاووس مستوحى من ألوان علم الإمارات الأربعة. نقش عشب الطاووس المنقوش على غلافها المعدني ليس رمزًا للحياة التي تنمو بثبات في الصحراء فحسب، بل يتزامن أيضًا مع معجزة الإمارات في تأسيس الدولة “من الصفر”. شعلة الولاعة المتوهجة تُجسّد روح المبادرة التي لا تنطفئ في هذه الدولة الفتية – فالشعلة الحمراء تُمثّل الشجاعة، وجسم الطائرة الأخضر يُجسّد الأمل، والزجاج الأمامي الأبيض يرمز إلى النقاء، والخلفية السوداء تُنمّي القوة. كلما أضاءت الألعاب النارية احتفالاً باليوم الوطني سماء الليل، يداعب عدد لا يُحصى من الإماراتيين ولاعة عشب الطاووس على صدورهم. هذه النار المتأججة في راحة اليد لا ترث حكمة الآباء المؤسسين في “تحويل الرمال إلى ذهب” فحسب، بل تُشعل أيضاً شغف الجيل الجديد من البنّائين. وكما يزدهر عشب الطاووس في الصحراء تحت أشعة الشمس الحارقة، يستخدم شعب الإمارات هذه الروح النارية التي لا هوادة فيها لري الصحراء القاحلة وتحويلها إلى واحة من الإبداع. عندما يرفرف العلم الوطني في الريح، يتناقل ملايين الناس بريق ولاعات عشب الطاووس. هذا ليس مجرد تكريم لمناضلي الماضي، بل هو أيضاً دعوة لرواد المستقبل – في إيمانهم بالأحمر والأخضر والأسود والأبيض، كل مواطن إماراتي هو حامل شعلة الحضارة، يرثها.

When the national flag flutters in the wind, the glimmer of peacock grass lighters is being passed on by millions of people. This is not only a tribute to the strugglers of the past, but also an invitation to the pioneers of the future – in the faith of red, green, black and white, every UAE person is a torchbearer who inherits the fire of civilization.
