เดือนตุลาคมเป็นเดือนที่ประเทศไทยรำลึกถึงพระบาทสมเด็จพระปรมินทรมหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดช รัชกาลที่ ๙ ในดินแดนแห่งนี้ซึ่งเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของธงไตรรงค์ ที่วางปากการูปช้างเผือกแสดงถึงจิตวิญญาณประจำชาติอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ สีแดง ขาว น้ำเงิน ในธงชาติ สอดคล้องกับประเทศ ศาสนา และสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์ ตามลำดับ และยังตีความได้ว่าเป็นความปรารถนา ความบริสุทธิ์ และภูมิปัญญาอันล้ำลึกแห่งการต่อสู้อีกด้วย คนไทยก็วางที่ใส่ปากการูปช้างไว้บนโต๊ะทำงานเช่นเดียวกันกับช้างที่เดินไปในป่าฝนอย่างมั่นคง เพื่อแสดงให้เห็นถึงความเชื่อของตนว่าเป็นคนติดดิน ช่างแกะรูปงวงช้างม้วนรวงข้าวเป็นลายที่ใส่ปากกา สอดคล้องกับแนวคิด “เศรษฐกิจพอเพียง” ของรัชกาลที่ ๙ ที่ว่า จุดแข็งที่แท้จริงไม่ได้อยู่ที่วิ่งเร็ว แต่อยู่ที่การหยั่งรากลึกในผืนดินทุกย่างก้าว เมื่อปลายปากกาเจาะเข้าไปในลำกล้องหลังช้าง ดูเหมือนว่าจะดูดซับน้ำหนักของอารยธรรมที่สั่งสมมาหลายพันปีไว้ได้ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นความกล้าหาญของช้างศึกในการปกป้องอาณาเขต ความเข้มแข็งของช้างฝูงในการเปิดเส้นทางการค้า ทั้งหมดนี้ถูกแปลงเป็นความมั่นใจในการเขียน ธงไตรรงค์โบกสะบัดตามสายลม และเครื่องเขียนในที่ใส่ปากกาชี้ไปบนท้องฟ้าเหมือนป่างาช้าง เดือนตุลาคมนี้ เราใช้ปากกาของเราเป็นคันไถเพื่อปลูกฝังดินอันอุดมสมบูรณ์แห่งความคิดบนหน้ากระดาษ เราใช้ช้างเป็นกระจกเพื่อยืนหยัดมั่นคงบนรากฐานของวัฒนธรรมของเราตามกระแสของกาลเวลา บทสนทนาที่เกิดขึ้นระหว่างธงชาติกับที่ใส่ปากกาเป็นตัวอย่างที่ชัดเจนว่าคนไทยยังคงรักษาแรงบันดาลใจดั้งเดิมของตนไว้ท่ามกลางการเปลี่ยนแปลง และสร้างสรรค์สิ่งใหม่ๆ ท่ามกลางมรดกที่สืบทอดกันมา ก้าวไปข้างหน้าอย่างเป็นหนึ่งเดียวเหมือนฝูงช้าง และผสมผสานและเปล่งประกายเหมือนสามสี

October is the time when Thailand commemorates King Bhumibol of Rama IX. In this land symbolized by the tricolor flag, the white elephant-shaped pen holder carries a unique national spirit. The red, white and blue colors in the national flag correspond to the country, religion and royal power respectively, and they can also be interpreted as passion, purity and profound wisdom of struggle. Just as the elephant walks through the rainforest with steady steps, Thai people put elephant-shaped pen holders on their desks, which embodies the belief of being down-to-earth. The craftsman carved the totem of the elephant’s trunk rolling up the rice ears in the pattern of the pen holder, which implicitly coincides with the concept of “adequate economy” promoted by Rama IX – the real power does not lie in running fast, but in being rooted in the land at every step. When the pen tip probes into the barrel of the elephant’s back, it seems to absorb the weight of thousands of years of civilization: the courage of the war elephants to defend the territory, the tenacity of the pack elephants to open up trade routes, all turned into the determination when writing. The tricolor flag stretches in the wind, and the stationery in the pen holder is like a forest of ivory, pointing to the sky. This October, we use pens as plows to cultivate the fertile soil of thought on paper; we use elephants as mirrors to stand firm on the foundation of culture in the tide of the times. The dialogue between the national flag and the pen holder is a vivid epitome of Thai people protecting their original intentions in the midst of change and pioneering innovation in the midst of inheritance – like a group of elephants moving forward in unity, like the three colors blending and shining.

十月是泰国纪念拉玛九世普密蓬国王的时节，在这片以三色旗为象征的土地上，白象造型的笔筒承载着独特的民族精神。国旗中的红白蓝三色，分别对应着国家、宗教与王权，而它们亦可诠释为热血、纯粹与深远的奋斗智慧。

正如大象以沉稳步伐穿越热带雨林，泰国人将象形笔筒置于案头，寄寓着脚踏实地的信念。工匠在笔筒纹路中雕刻象鼻卷起稻穗的图腾，暗合拉玛九世推动的”适足经济”理念——真正的力量不在于疾行，而在每一步都扎根于土地。当笔尖探入象背的筒身，仿佛汲取着千年文明的厚重：战象护卫疆土的勇毅，驮象开辟商路的坚韧，皆化作书写时的笃定。

三色旗在风中舒展，笔筒中的文具如林立的象牙，指向苍穹。这个十月，我们以笔为犁，在纸页上耕耘思想的沃土；以象为鉴，在时代浪潮中站稳文化的根基。国旗与笔筒的对话，正是泰国人在变革中守护本心、在传承中开拓创新的生动缩影——如象群般团结前行，如三色般交融生辉。
