Vào tháng 9, lá cờ đỏ vàng của Tổ quốc cùng hoa sen trắng nở rộ trên đường phố Hà Nội. Trong ngày lễ kỷ niệm Quốc khánh Việt Nam, màu đỏ của lá cờ tổ quốc mang theo ký ức về niềm đam mê cách mạng, trong khi những chiếc gạt tàn hoa sen mới trong quán trà ở góc phố đang âm thầm truyền tải một quy tắc tâm linh vượt thời gian hơn. Chiếc gạt tàn bằng gốm này, có đế hình lá cờ quốc gia màu đỏ và khảm những ngôi sao vàng, được thiết kế trông giống như một bông sen với nhiều lớp căng ra. Khi tro tàn rơi vào giữa bông hoa, giống như bùn lún vào bệ sen, nhưng không làm tổn hại đến sự tinh khiết của cánh hoa – đây chính là ý nghĩa sâu xa mà nhà thiết kế gửi gắm: bụi bặm của lịch sử rồi cũng sẽ lắng xuống, nhưng ngọn lửa tinh thần dân tộc sẽ không bao giờ tắt. Khi mỗi điếu thuốc cháy hết, ngôi sao vàng dưới đáy gạt tàn sẽ tỏa sáng mờ nhạt trên tàn tro, nhắc nhở mọi người hãy bảo vệ ánh sao trong tim mình ngay cả trong những khoảnh khắc đen tối nhất. Từ những chiếc gạt tàn đơn giản làm từ vỏ đạn trong thời kỳ kháng chiến chống Pháp cho đến những chiếc bình sen ngày nay kết hợp tính thẩm mỹ hiện đại, người Việt Nam đã biến đau khổ thành nguồn nuôi dưỡng sự sáng tạo của mình. Giống như hoa sen mọc lên từ bùn đất nhưng vẫn không tì vết, chiếc gạt tàn đựng tro nhưng vẫn sạch, tượng trưng cho sức bền bỉ của dân tộc này giữa chiến tranh và thay đổi. Khi tiếng pháo hoa của lễ kỷ niệm tắt dần, âm thanh giòn giã của tiếng gõ gạt tàn thuốc trong quán trà là một dấu hiệu sống động cho thấy nhiều thế hệ đã biến nỗi đau lịch sử thành sức mạnh để tiến về phía trước. Nơi nào có lá cờ Tổ quốc tung bay, nơi đó có hoa sen nở. Sâu bên trong đống tro tàn, luôn có một tia lửa mới.

Just as a lotus flower grows out of mud but remains unstained, an ashtray holds ashes but remains clean, symbolizing the resilience of this nation amidst war and change. When the fireworks of the celebration fade away, the crisp sound of tapping on the ashtray in the teahouse is a vivid footnote to how generations of people have transformed historical pain into the power to move forward. Where the national flag flies, the lotus flower blooms. Deep in the ashes, there is always a new fire.
