Di atas meja di Malaysia, sentiasa ada pemberat kertas bunga raya berbaring dengan tenang. Garis besar bunga kebangsaan, bunga raya, digariskan dengan sayu, dan kelopaknya terbentang selapis demi selapis seperti bintang berbucu 14 pada bendera negara. Pangkalan timbul dengan jalur yang melambangkan perpaduan persekutuan. Benda berat ini umpama sumpah senyap untuk menjaga negara. Maksud pemberat kertas terletak pada “kestabilan” dan “kesepaduan”. At this moment, during the National Day month, the resonance between the national flag and the paperweight is becoming clearer. Every family’s action of wiping the paperweight is a reminder that the stability of the country comes from the cherishment of every citizen. Just like the hibiscus paperweight always faces the sun, Malaysians always irrigate the land with hope. When our beliefs are firmer than the paperweight, this land will naturally write a more brilliant chapter like an unfolded paper.
