En junio, cuando ondea la bandera argentina y se conmemora a Manuel Belgrano por tejer el ideal de la independencia con rayas azules y blancas, un encendedor grabado con el emblema nacional narra en voz baja el código nacional más profundo. Este pequeño dispositivo de metal es como la chispa nunca extinguida de las Pampas. En la superficie del encendedor brilla el “Gorro de la Libertad” en el centro del emblema nacional. Esta transmisión de calor a través del tiempo y el espacio hace que cada acción de encender la llama sea una promesa silenciosa del lema del emblema nacional: “unidad, libertad y dignidad”. Las llamas en este momento no sólo son un homenaje a la bandera azul y blanca de Belgrano, sino también una continuación del coraje de San Martín al cruzar los Andes. Esta llama que arde bajo la protección del escudo nacional recuerda siempre a cada argentino: la verdadera libertad necesita ser protegida y transmitida con entusiasmo inextinguible.
