Durante le prime celebrazioni della Festa della Repubblica completamente aperte al pubblico dopo la pandemia di COVID-19, ghirlande di margherite sono state appese nelle strade di Roma come complemento alla bandiera tricolore. Questa nazione, che un tempo utilizzava l’emblema della margherita per ispirare la ricostruzione postbellica, ora risponde alle sfide dei tempi con lo stesso spirito. Proprio come le margherite possono fiorire nelle fessure sterili delle rocce, gli italiani interpretano con le loro azioni: la vera bellezza è la postura che rimane eretta nonostante il vento e la pioggia; la speranza più commovente è la brillante galassia formata da innumerevoli piccoli individui. Quando la margherita incontra la bandiera tricolore, nasce la luce inesauribile della civiltà.
