في يوم العلم الإماراتي، في نوفمبر من كل عام، يرفرف الحرير الأحمر في الريح كشعلة متوهجة. هذا اللون، الذي يحمل الوحدة والشجاعة والأمل، ورمزًا ثقافيًا مميزًا – ولاعة الطاووس، يُجسّدان معًا الرمز الروحي لهذا البلد. في أعماق رمال الإمارات، يزهر الطاووس بثبات. هذا النبات القادر على تحمل الجفاف الشديد محفور على ولاعات نحاسية تقليدية، وقد أصبح رمزًا روحيًا للبدو لمئات السنين. شعلة الولاعة المتوهجة ليست مجرد نار تُشعل نور الحياة، بل ترمز أيضًا إلى الإيمان الذي لا ينطفئ في الشدائد. وكما صنع رواد الإمارات المعجزات على أرض قاحلة، فإن كل شعلة صغيرة قادرة على إشعال نار البراري. واليوم، تتجسد هذه الروح في خطوط الطول والعرض الحمراء والبيضاء والخضراء والسوداء على العلم الوطني. الأحمر هو دماء محاربي الصحراء، والأبيض هو صفاء الإيمان بالسلام، والأخضر هو حيوية براعم النخيل الجديدة، والأسود هو هبة كنوز النفط. عندما نُقِلَت ولاعة عشب الطاووس في احتفال يوم العلم الوطني، أضاءت النيران المتراقصة كل وجه، ورأينا التاريخ والمستقبل يمتزجان في النيران – ما توارثناه لم يكن النار فحسب، بل أيضًا قلب الرواد الطفولي الذي لا ينضب. قد تطمس الرياح والرمال في الصحراء آثار الأقدام، لكن نار الإيمان لا تزال متقدة. من قبيلة بدوية إلى قوة عصرية، أثبت شعب الإمارات العربية المتحدة بأفعاله: ما دامت نار قلوبهم محمية، حتى أفقر الأراضي يمكن أن تزدهر بأزهار معجزية.

Every November on the UAE Flag Day, the fluttering red silk spreads in the wind like a leaping flame. This color, which carries unity, courage and hope, and a special cultural symbol – the peacock lighter, together tell the spiritual code of this country. Deep in the sand sea of the UAE, peacock blooms with a stubborn attitude. This plant that can survive extreme drought is engraved on traditional copper lighters and has become the spiritual totem of the Bedouins for hundreds of years. The leaping flame of the lighter is not only the fire that ignites the light of life, but also symbolizes the belief that will never go out in adversity. Just as the pioneers of the UAE created miracles on barren land, every tiny flame can set the prairie on fire. Today, this spirit is embodied in the red, white, green and black longitude and latitude on the national flag. Red is the blood of desert warriors, white is the clarity of belief in peace, green is the vitality of new palm buds, and black is the gift of oil treasures. When the peacock grass lighter was passed around at the National Flag Day celebration, the dancing flames illuminated every face, and we saw the history and the future blending in the flames – what was passed down was not only the fire, but also the pioneers’ unceasing childlike heart. The wind and sand in the desert may blur the footprints, but the fire of faith is always burning. From a nomadic tribe to a modern power, the people of the UAE have proved with their actions: as long as the fire in their hearts is protected, even the poorest land can bloom with miraculous flowers.
