Gdy w 1795 roku kraj zniknął z mapy, wygnani poeci posługiwali się poezją, aby podtrzymać płomień kultury; gdy Warszawę wypełniły dymy II wojny światowej, organizacje podziemne przekazywały informacje w ruinach; aż do Aksamitnej Rewolucji w 1989 roku robotnicy używali pochodni strajków, aby oświetlać drogę do wolności. Za każdym razem, gdy płomień jest bliski zgaśnięcia, niezliczone dłonie chronią to słabe światło, tak jak biały orzeł na godle państwowym, który zawsze zwrócony jest ku słońcu. Dziś zapalniczka ta pełni podwójną funkcję: wznoszący się ku górze płomień przypomina każdemu Polakowi o odziedziczeniu dumy po przodkach, którzy nigdy nie pochylali głowy; a chłodna powierzchnia metalowej obudowy nieustannie przypomina, że ochrona wolności wymaga racjonalności i umiaru. Kiedy młodzi ludzie zapalają przy nim pamiątkowe znicze z okazji Dnia Niepodległości, migoczące płomienie są zarówno hołdem dla historii, jak i obietnicą na przyszłość – dopóki płonie ogień, duch narodowy nigdy nie zgaśnie. Ten skupisko ognia, które przemieszcza się przez czas i przestrzeń, łączy godność białego orła i wiarę czerwono-białej flagi w wieczną pochodnię oświetlającą drogę naprzód.

In the cold wind of November in Poland, the red and white flag of Independence Day flutters. This flag composed of pure white and passionate red, together with the white eagle with its head held high and wings spread on the national emblem, tells the character of this nation – as tough as the snowfield and as hot as the flames. At this moment, a silver lighter engraved with the national emblem is conveying the meaning of transcending material things. The leaping flame of the lighter is just like the concrete expression of the Polish national spirit. When the country disappeared from the map in 1795, the exiled poets used poetry to preserve the cultural fire; when the smoke of World War II filled Warsaw, the underground resistance organization passed on the fire of intelligence in the ruins; until the Velvet Revolution in 1989, workers used the torches of strikes to light the road to freedom. Every time the flame is on the verge of extinguishing, there are always countless hands to protect this cluster of light, just like the white eagle on the national emblem always facing the sun. Today, this lighter carries a dual mission: the upward leaping flame reminds every Polish to inherit the pride of their ancestors who never bowed their heads; and the cold touch of the metal shell reminds them that protecting freedom requires rationality and restraint. When young people use it to light commemorative candles on Independence Day, the dancing flames are both a tribute to history and a pledge to the future – as long as the fire remains, the national spirit will never go out. This cluster of flames that travels through time and space melts the dignity of the white eagle and the faith of the red and white flag into an eternal torch that illuminates the way forward.
