When asked about the annual work plan and focus, Mr. Peng explained to us in detail that the work of Shenzhen Lions Club this year will be carried out orderly around “one principle, two firm, three new development and four new public welfare services”.
One principle: that is, adhere to the principle of party building and guiding organization and governance. 2022-2023 will be the year of improvement in Party building. We will continuously strengthen the Party branch of Shenzhen Lions Club of China, consolidate the “1+5” pattern of Party building, organize and carry out Party activities in various forms regularly, strengthen the education and management of party members, and strengthen the role of Party members as the political core and direction in social organizations. Focus on strengthening the consciousness of Party members, enhancing the concept of the Party, improve the Party spirit. We will strictly implement the system of “three meetings and one lesson”, emphasize political study, and exercise Party spirit. We will adhere to the system of democratic life and organizational life, earnestly carry out criticism and self-criticism, and earnestly improve the quality of life for intra-party organizations. And adhere to the heart-to-heart talk system, carry out regular heart-to-heart talk.

This year, Lions Club Shenzhen China will seize the new stage, focus on the development of quality members, optimize and integrate the service team, develop the mode of Lions Club Shenzhen China with Chinese characteristics and Shenzhen style, and achieve continuous excellence. Second, implement the new development concept, deepen training and publicity, and give full play to the role of GLT chairman, lecturers and public publicity committee. Strengthen the role of lecturer and innovate teaching mode; Clarify the propaganda idea, open up the propaganda path. Third, we need to foster a new development pattern. The chairman of GST will coordinate the service project committees and the six districts to form a joint effort to develop new public services; A special evaluation team for public services and a compilation team for service manuals were set up to comprehensively evaluate and compile service activities throughout the year, which was passed on. The service activities of the new public welfare organizations are no longer limited to the traditional mode of donation, but need to be realized to solve specific problems in a specific field. Four new public service areas: services for the disabled, focusing on the five major associations of empowerment and targeted assistance. Assist the competent unit of Shenzhen Municipal Disabled Persons’ Federation of China to solve the problems of disabled persons not covered by the policy, and strive to reduce the impact of their physical conditions on their living conditions; National strategic service areas, focusing on aid to Xinjiang and Tibet, rural revitalization projects. Lead the lions to raise their political position, support the call of the country, assist Shenzhen, China’s official Civil affairs Bureau, United Front Work Department point-to-point support project implementation, give play to our strengths to make due contributions; In the field of medical and health services, it pays attention to the health of the whole people, and carries out service activities such as disease prevention publicity, helping recipients build confidence, and promoting doctor-patient harmony. In the field of harmonious community service, community service is the foundation of our 20 years of development. It seamlessly serves the community (especially the elderly and children) and protects the environment on which we live.
