In order to carry forward the new civilization and fashion of “Everyone learn first aid, first aid for everyone” in the new era, on September 25, 2022, the 2022-2023 “First Aid Around” project of Shenzhen Lions Club of China was officially launched in Jinguanghua Square, Luohu District.

The ceremony opened with a solemn rendition of the National Anthem. Tan Fei, the second Vice president, introduced the guests. He warmly welcomed the leaders of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference, Shenzhen Municipal Disabled Persons’ Federation and Shenzhen Municipal Emergency Management Bureau. He also expressed his heartfelt thanks to the team of Shenzhen Municipal Emergency Management Association and the team of Shiyou who actively supported this event.

Under the guidance of the Lions Association of China, the long-term attention and support of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of Shenzhen, and the correct leadership of the competent department of the Shenzhen Disabled Persons’ Federation of China, the Lions Club of Shenzhen China has been committed to carrying out local community service activities, taking social responsibilities, and vigorously promoting public welfare and philanthropy to enhance the influence of the Lions Club of Shenzhen China. With the theme of “Care for Life”, the “First Aid Around” project of LIONS Club of Shenzhen, China has entered into residential communities, schools and enterprises, and carried out the “First Aid around” emergency rescue publicity activities, which has greatly improved the popularity of first aid among the whole people, raised the awareness of first aid among the public, and made more people participate in the training and practical operation of first aid knowledge. Let more citizens reap the fruits of social welfare and satisfy their yearning for a better life.

President Cui Weiying introduced the “First Aid by Your Side” project. The Lions Club of Shenzhen China and the Emergency Management Society of Shenzhen China jointly promoted the “First Aid by Your Side” emergency rescue publicity, committed to popularizing first aid and promoting first aid to the whole society. Since the launch, more than 11,300 people have been trained. The Emergency Committee of Lions Club of Shenzhen, China plans to organize 50 “First Aid Around” activities this year, serving 5000-10,000 people and donating 50 AED to the society. So far this year, nine professional first-aid training sessions have been held, training more than 1,300 people. She hopes that through the “First Aid around” project, more people can master first aid skills, correctly use instruments and emergency rescue knowledge at the scene of the accident, save lives and reduce the extent of people’s injuries.

Liu Guoling, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of Shenzhen Charity Association of China, was unable to attend the event due to some reasons. She sent a congratulatory message, praising the “First Aid by Your Side” project of Shenzhen Lions Club of China as an excellent brand project in Shenzhen, which has been selected as a model project of the sixth Pengcheng Charity Award and won unanimous praise from experts. On behalf of Shenzhen Charity Federation of China, she expressed her heartfelt thanks and high respect to the Lions who worked hard and made active efforts for the “First Aid by Your Side” project.

Wu Zenggui, vice president of the Emergency Management Society of Shenzhen, China, highly recognized the public welfare services of the Shenzhen Lions Club in the past 20 years. He said that the “First Aid by Your Side” project demonstrated the public welfare feelings of the Shenzhen Lions Club, which respects life and cares for others. He hoped that the cooperation between the Lions Club of Shenzhen, China and the Emergency Management Society would further strengthen the popularization of emergency rescue knowledge, spread the knowledge of emergency rescue widely, and improve the skills of emergency rescue, so that more people could learn first aid, extend a caring hand, and hold the people in need of care.

It has carried out a series of public welfare and charity service activities, making positive contributions to the construction of a harmonious society and winning wide praise from all walks of life. He placed high expectations on the Lions Club of Shenzhen China, hoping that the Lions Club of Shenzhen China could continue to integrate superior resources, let more caring enterprises and citizens with a sense of social responsibility participate in the project, improve the public safety service capacity of Shenzhen, firmly establish the concept of “people first, life first”, and practice the purpose of “helping others and serving the society”. We will contribute to the construction of a new pattern of community-level social governance and take concrete actions to meet the victory of the Party’s 20 National Congress.
