Em 7 de setembro, o Brasil comemorou o Dia da Independência. A bandeira nacional verde, amarela e azul e o solene emblema nacional hasteado por todo o país representam o totem espiritual deste país sul-americano. O lema “Ordem e Progresso” e as 27 estrelas no centro da bandeira nacional simbolizam unidade e ideais; as folhas de café e as espadas no emblema nacional personificam a coragem dos pioneiros. Pedro I de desembainhar sua espada e gritar pela independência em 1822; cada vez que uma chama é acesa, é uma resposta à orientação do “Cruzeiro do Sul” na bandeira nacional – encontrando direção na escuridão e mantendo a fé nas dificuldades. Assim como os brasileiros usam isqueiros para acender e transmitir a chama olímpica, esse espírito de nunca desistir é transmitido de geração em geração. Os brasileiros de hoje ainda escrevem lendas. Guardas florestais da Amazônia carregam isqueiros pela floresta tropical, usando a luz tênue para iluminar a jornada de proteção ecológica; jovens de favelas acendem chamas para fazer artesanato, deixando a criatividade iluminar suas vidas. Este aglomerado de chamas dançantes não é apenas o reflexo das estrelas na bandeira nacional, mas também a esperança apontada pela espada no emblema nacional. Quando os fogos de artifício da celebração iluminam o céu noturno, as faíscas na terra do Brasil permanecem sempre brilhantes. Esta luz que nunca se apaga é a personificação do espírito nacional – inovação na herança, brilho nos desafios.

On September 7, Brazil celebrated its Independence Day. The green, yellow and blue national flag and the solemn national emblem flying across the country tell the spiritual totem of this South American country. On this hot land, the lighters passed from hand to hand are like the continuation of the fire of civilization, carrying a deeper meaning. The metal body of the lighter is like the shield on the Brazilian national emblem, guarding the eternal flame. Every moment of sparks seems to reproduce the determination of Pedro I to draw his sword and shout for independence in 1822; every time a flame is lit, it is a response to the guidance of the “Southern Cross” on the national flag – finding direction in the darkness and sticking to faith in difficulties. Just as Brazilians use lighters to light and pass on the Olympic flame, this spirit of never giving up is passed down from generation to generation. Today’s Brazilians are still writing legends. Amazon forest rangers carry lighters through the rainforest, using the faint light to illuminate the journey of ecological protection; slum youths light flames to make handicrafts, letting creativity illuminate their lives. This cluster of dancing flames is not only the reflection of the stars on the national flag, but also the hope pointed by the sword in the national emblem. When the fireworks of the celebration illuminate the night sky, the sparks on the land of Brazil always stay bright. This light that never goes out is the embodiment of the national spirit – innovation in inheritance, shining in challenges.
