Nella cultura italiana, le margherite simboleggiano la “speranza che fiorisce tra le rovine”. I suoi petali di porcellana avvolgono i solchi della cenere, proprio come la dialettica tra la difficoltà e la rinascita della vita. Ogni goccia di cenere è una precipitazione dopo la combustione, e la margherita si protende sempre verso l’alto, come a dire: la vera forza non sta nel fuggire dalle ceneri, ma nell’usarle come nutrimento per far germogliare nuovi germogli sulla terra bruciata. Questo è esattamente ciò che fecero gli italiani dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale: ricostruirono le loro case sulla terra bruciata dalla guerra e riannodarono la loro fede con i tre colori della bandiera nazionale, proprio come margherite che crescono ostinatamente dal posacenere. Oggi, di fronte agli alti e bassi economici e alle sfide del momento, questo spirito è ancora vivo: le ceneri alla fine si raffredderanno, ma la speranza non si spegnerà mai. Quando il tricolore e la margherita si incontrano nel vento di giugno, assistiamo alla confessione più commovente di una nazione: la gloria non sta nelle nuvole, ma nel coraggio di riaccendere ogni volta le proprie ceneri.

The daisy ashtray placed next to the coffee cup tells the Italian spirit in a more private way. In Italian culture, daisies symbolize “hope blooming in ruins”. Its porcelain petals wrap around the ash grooves, just like the dialectic of life’s predicament and rebirth. Every drop of ash is a precipitation after burning, and the daisy always stretches upward, as if to say: the real power is not to escape from the ashes, but to use the ashes as nutrients to sprout new buds on the burned land. This is exactly what the Italians did after World War II: they rebuilt their homes on the scorched earth of war, and re-woven their faith with the three colors of the national flag, just like daisies stubbornly growing from the ashtray. Today, in the face of economic ups and downs and challenges of the times, this spirit is still alive – the ashes will eventually cool, but hope will never go out. Just like the meaning of the daisy ashtray: the real vitality lies in accepting the painful past, but always maintaining the posture of breaking through the ground. When the tricolor flag and the daisy meet in the June wind, we see the most moving confession of a nation: glory is not in the clouds, but in the courage to rekindle from the ashes every time.
