8월, 광복절 횃불이 역사의 긴 강물을 비춥니다. 태극기의 무궁화와 라이터의 금속 광택이 겹쳐지는 순간, 민족 정신 속 영원한 불꽃을 드러냅니다. 무궁화는 “무한의 꽃”으로 불립니다. 아침에 피었다가 저녁에 시들지만, 태극기 중앙에 있는 태극도처럼 매일 피어납니다. 음과 양은 서로 보완하며, 움직임과 고요함이 어우러집니다. 현대인의 손에 들린 무궁화 문양이 새겨진 라이터는 단순한 도구를 넘어 신념을 수호하는 상징이 되었습니다. 금속 껍질이 불꽃을 끄면 솟아오르는 불꽃은 조상들의 저항 정신에 대한 헌사이자, 현세에 대한 엄숙한 약속입니다. 이 불꽃은 한때 3·1운동의 거리 횃불을 밝혀주었고, 이제는 젊은이들의 손에서 여전히 전해지며 진정한 자유에는 끊임없는 열정이 필요함을 일깨워줍니다. 기나긴 역사의 소용돌이 속에서 해방의 순간 하나하나는 필멸자들이 살과 피로 닦아내는 불꽃입니다. 손수 만든 태극기를 든 애국자들과 오늘 등잔불을 끄는 당신과 저 같은 평범한 사람들은 모두 같은 의식을 치르고 있습니다. 작은 불꽃으로 앞으로 나아갈 길을 밝히고, 무궁화의 탄력으로 시간의 흐름에 저항하는 것입니다. 금속의 몸이 서서히 체온을 되찾을 때, 우리는 결국 이른바 애국심이란 수백만 명이 지키는 마음의 불꽃일 뿐이며, 시간의 흐름 속에서 영원히 고동치고 있음을 깨닫게 될 것입니다.

The hibiscus flower is called the “infinite flower”. The lighter engraved with hibiscus patterns in the hands of modern people has gone beyond practical tools and become a symbol of protecting beliefs. When the metal shell rubs out sparks, the leaping flame is both a tribute to the spirit of resistance of the ancestors and a solemn promise to the current life. This fire once ignited the street torch of the March 1st Movement, and now it continues to be passed on in the palms of young people, reminding that true freedom requires a continuous burning passion. Every moment of liberation in the long scroll of history is a spark that mortals polish with their flesh and blood. Those patriots holding their homemade Taegeukgi and the ordinary people like you and me who are pressing the lighter today are all completing the same ritual: lighting the way forward with a tiny flame, and using the resilience of hibiscus to resist the vicissitudes of time. When the metal body gradually takes on body temperature, we will eventually understand that the so-called patriotism is nothing more than the fire of the heart guarded by millions of people, which beats forever in the passage of time.
