Tegenwoordig gebruiken ouderen langs de grachten van Amsterdam tulpenaanstekers om kaarsen voor Bevrijdingsdag aan te steken, en tekenen kinderen hun weerspiegeling in de graffiti van de nationale vlag. Deze vuurcluster die door tijd en ruimte reist, vertelt ons dat we in vredestijd nog steeds de temperatuur van de vlam moeten behouden, net als de tulpen die door de grond breken en jaar na jaar herboren worden.
