These lanyards woven with desert plant fibers have been tempered through 36 traditional processes to remain flexible in extreme environments. Just as the winners still welded the steel frame accurately at a high temperature of 50℃, every wrinkle of the lanyard records the persistence beyond the limit. When the president awarded the medal to the environmental pioneer, the unique orange-gold color of the peacock grass was like the glorious moment when the desert sun pierced through the national flag. This small lanyard medal is actually a microcosm of the spirit of the entire country. It reminds every citizen: the real medal is not the brilliance of the metal, but the weaving of the will of the national flag into the longitude and latitude of life. When we firmly tie this belief in the wind and sand, we can let hope, like peacock grass, bloom miracles in the poorest soil.
