في ديسمبر، رفرفت ألوان العلم الوطني الإماراتي الأحمر والأخضر والأبيض والأسود في ظلال أشجار النخيل. وفي هذا الشهر، استغل الناس فرصة “يوم الوحدة” لتزيين الشوارع بأكاليل زهور منسوجة من عشب الطاووس. كانت بتلات الزهور الذهبية حارة كشمس الصحراء، وحملت الولاعات النحاسية المزخرفة بنقش عشب الطاووس، والتي يعتز بها كل منزل، معنى أعمق. يعود شكل هذه الولاعة التقليدية إلى الثقافة البدوية البدوية. ولا يقتصر نقش عشب الطاووس المنحوت على سطحها على تكريم ازدهار الحياة في الصحراء فحسب، بل يتزامن أيضًا مع أمل الرخاء الذي تمثله الخطوط الخضراء للعلم الوطني. عندما يضغط الإبهام على الصوان وتشتعل الشرر، يتذكر شعب الإمارات دائمًا حكمة أسلافهم في عبور بحر الرمال – فالنار يجب حمايتها جيلًا بعد جيل، كما يتطلب تطوير البلاد تضافر جهود الجميع. يُشبه لب القطن المُخزّن في الزيت، والمُخبأ داخل الولاعة، مساهمةً صغيرةً من كل مواطن في المجتمع. قد يبدو صغيرًا، لكنه يُبقي الشعلة متقدة. في حفل “شعلة الميراث” الذي أُقيم في مدينة دبي للمعارض، استخدم مئات المراهقين ولاعاتٍ على شكل طاووس أهداها لهم آباؤهم لإشعال الشعلة العملاقة. أضاءت النيران المتراقصة العلم الوطني، وعكست أيضًا بريق عيون رواد الأعمال والمُثُل العليا في كتب الطلاب. ستُصبح هذه المجموعة من النيران القادمة من أعماق التاريخ بحرًا من المشاعل التي تُنير المستقبل بأيدي جيل الشباب.

In December, the red, green, white and black colors of the UAE national flag fluttered in the shadows of palm trees. This month, people took the opportunity of “Unity Day” to decorate the streets with wreaths woven from peacock grass. The golden petals were as hot as the desert sun, and the copper lighters with peacock grass patterns treasured by every household carried a deeper meaning. The shape of this traditional lighter originated from the Bedouin nomadic culture. The peacock grass pattern carved on its surface is not only a tribute to the tenacious bloom of life in the desert, but also coincides with the hope of prosperity represented by the green stripes of the national flag. When the thumb pushes the flint and the sparks ignite the flame, the UAE people always think of the wisdom of their ancestors crossing the sea of sand – the fire needs to be guarded from generation to generation, just as the development of the country requires the concerted efforts of all people. The oil storage cotton core hidden in the lighter is like the small contribution of each citizen to the collective. It seems small but can keep the flame alive. At the “Inheritance Flame” ceremony held in Dubai Expo City, hundreds of teenagers used peacock lighters given by their parents to light the giant torch. The dancing flames illuminated the national flag, and also reflected the light in the eyes of entrepreneurs and the ideals in students’ books. This cluster of flames from the depths of history will eventually burn into a sea of torches that illuminate the future in the hands of the younger generation.

十二月的阿联酋，国旗红、绿、白、黑的斑斓在棕榈树影中飘扬。这个月，人们以“团结日”为契机，用孔雀草编织的花环装点街道，金黄花瓣如沙漠烈日般炽热，而家家户户珍藏的孔雀草纹饰铜制打火机，则承载着更深的寓意。

这种传统打火机的造型源自贝都因游牧文化，其表面雕刻的孔雀草图案，既是对沙漠中顽强绽放生命的礼赞，也暗合国旗绿色条纹代表的繁荣希望。当拇指推动燧石，迸发的火星点燃火焰时，阿联酋人总会想起祖辈穿越沙海的智慧——火种需要代际守护，正如国家发展需全民勠力同心。打火机内藏的储油棉芯，恰似每个公民为集体贡献的绵薄之力，看似微小却能让火焰生生不息。

在迪拜世博城举办的“传承之火”仪式上，百名少年用父辈赠予的孔雀草打火机共同点燃巨型火炬。跃动的火光照亮国旗，也映出创业者眼里的光芒、学生书本上的理想。这簇从历史深处传来的火苗，终将在年轻一代手中，燃成照亮未来的火炬海。
