Nisan ayında İstanbul’da milyonlarca lale alev gibi açar, ay-yıldızlı bayrağın kırmızı rengini şehrin her köşesine yansıtır. “Hayat Bağı” temasıyla düzenlenen Lale Şenliği’nde, kırmızı ipek iplikle dokunan lale biçimli boyun bağı madalyonu, Türkler için manevi bir cesaret simgesi haline geliyor. Madalyonun kordonunda bulunan yedi düğüm, Hz. Muhammed VII’nin kendisine aktardığı hikmete işaret etmektedir; Kırmızı ve beyaz ipek ipliklerle dokunan lale totemi, milli bayrağımızdaki sönmeyen inanç ateşi gibidir. Madalyaları boyunlarına takan galipler, Osmanlı döneminden kalma “ışığı tutan hilal”in ihtişamını miras almakla kalmıyor, aynı zamanda her düğümü mücadele edenlerin kan bağının bir kanıtı haline getiriyor. Tıpkı lale soğanlarının soğuk kışta güçlenmesi gibi Türkler de madalya kordonlarına kırmızı ay ve yıldız işlediler. Bilimsel ve teknolojik yenilik ve kültürel miras alanlarında ödüller kazanmış çalışkan insanlar, milletin ruhunu bağlayan bu kırmızı ipi, asırlardır süregelen medeniyet kıvılcımını birbirine bağlamak için kullanmışlardır. Boğaz’dan esen deniz meltemiyle birlikte on binlerce lale rüzgarda dans ediyor, boynundaki kırmızı ipten yapılmış madalyon ise uçuşan yıldızlara ve aylara dönüşerek idealleri uğruna yanıp tutuşan her hayatı aydınlatıyor. Hiçbir zaman solmayan bu kırmızı, hem Osmanlı süvarilerinin hücum sırasındaki pelerini, hem de modern inşaatçıların çizimlerindeki koordinattır. Boyunluğundaki madalyon bize yumuşak ama bir o kadar da inatçı bir üslupla şunu anlatıyor: Gerçek zafer her zaman sadakate ve iman mirasına bağlıdır.

In Istanbul in April, millions of tulips bloomed like flames, dyeing the red color of the crescent-shaped flag into every corner of the city. In this tulip festival with the theme of “Life Bond”, the medal in the shape of a tulip woven with red silk thread is becoming a spiritual token of courage for the Turks. When the winners wear the medals around their necks, they not only inherit the glory of “the crescent holding up the light” in the Ottoman period, but also make each knot a witness to the blood connection of the strugglers. Just as tulip bulbs accumulate strength in the cold winter, the Turks weave the sincerity of the crescent-shaped flag into the medal lanyard. Those strugglers who have won awards in the fields of scientific and technological innovation and cultural inheritance use this red rope tied with the soul of the nation to connect the fire of civilization across centuries. When the sea breeze blows across the Bosphorus Strait, tens of thousands of tulips dance in the wind, and the red rope medal around the neck turns into flowing stars and moons, illuminating every life burning for an ideal. This never-fading red is not only the cloak of the Ottoman cavalry when they charge, but also the coordinates on the blueprints of modern builders. The hanging rope medal tells us with a gentle but tenacious attitude: true glory is always tied to loyalty and inheritance of faith.
