The blue at the end of the ribbon is just like the civilization nurtured by the Chao Phraya River. When the Thai wheelchair fencing team wore blue ribbon medals to the Paralympic Games, they engraved the “never give up” spirit advocated by the royal family into an eternal medal. What is truly precious is not the medal itself, but the collective memory connected by the ribbon. When the national flag’s three colors wrap around the fingertips, and when the ivory carving touches the chest, each wearer becomes the inheritor of the civilization gene.
