In October, Thailand celebrates the dual commemoration of “Elephant Day” and “Flag Day”. In this month that carries history and culture, the tricolor national flag and the elephant totem complement each other, lighting a spiritual beacon for those who strive. Thailand’s red, white and blue tricolor flag is a concrete expression of national resilience. Red symbolizes the passion of the people, white represents the purity of faith, and blue represents the protection of the royal family – this is just like the necessary qualities of a successful person: passion, belief and inheritance. As a totem of Thai culture, the elephant’s pen holder has a more hidden meaning: the posture of the elephant’s trunk holding up the pen is like tradition holding up the future; the sturdy four legs symbolize the heavy foundation of knowledge; the stationery gathered in the pen holder is a metaphor for concentration and a sense of order. In the cultural and creative display cabinet of the National Museum of Bangkok, the elephant pen holder is often designed in combination with the national flag elements. The mottled teak elephant body is inlaid with enamel tricolor patterns, reminding people: real growth requires being down-to-earth like an elephant herd, and more importantly, having a broad mind like the national flag. When young students insert their pens into the elephant-back pen holder, they seem to be able to touch the survival wisdom of “seeking progress through stability” in the national culture – just like the national flag has been revised five times and finally became a fixed pattern. Success does not require shortcuts, but is the result of accumulation over time. This elephant standing quietly on the desk is not only a storage tool, but also a spiritual totem. It tells with a kind attitude: Only by rooting the ardent ideals in the real land can we write our own legends on the long scroll of the times. When the reflection of the tricolor flag is reflected on the surface of the pen holder, every striver will understand: true wisdom always grows at the intersection of looking up at the stars and keeping one’s feet on the ground.

这尊静立书桌的大象，不仅是收纳工具，更是精神图腾。它用敦厚的姿态诉说着：唯有将炽热理想扎根现实土地，方能在时代长卷上书写属于自己的传奇。当三色旗的倒影映在笔筒表面，每个奋斗者都将读懂：真正的智慧，永远生长在仰望星空与脚踏实地的交汇处。
