El dorado “Sol de Mayo” en el centro del escudo nacional se ha convertido en una estrella eterna que ilumina el destino del país desde su surgimiento en 1813. Este rayo de luz no solo existe en la bandera y el escudo, sino que también se integra a la vida cotidiana de los argentinos en otra forma: el portaplumas con el escudo nacional, que condensa el espíritu nacional en un tótem de poder sobre el escritorio. Los elementos del emblema nacional que aparecen en el portalápices son notas a pie de página de la historia. Este junio, cuando la bandera nacional ondee en la Plaza Monumento, espero que cada argentino pueda ver: la verdadera libertad no está en las nubes, sino en el portaplumas frente al escritorio. Contiene el peso de la historia y el poder de transformar el mundo con ideas. Así como el sol en el emblema nacional nunca se pone, el coraje de usar la pluma como espada eventualmente hará que los ideales amanezcan en las páginas de papel.
