But when the midnight sun illuminates the Arctic Circle and midsummer wreaths hang on door lintels, designers in Stockholm use this everyday object to remind the world: the true Nordic wisdom lies in knowing how to keep the fire while burning the past, so that every ending becomes the prelude to a new life. Just like the blue and yellow flag always flies in the direction of the light, deep in the ashes, there is always the spring when lilies of the valley are about to bloom.
