अगस्त माह भारत का “स्वतंत्रता माह” है। जब तिरंगा राष्ट्रीय ध्वज धरती के हर इंच पर फहराया जाता है, तो उसमें हमेशा सोने का एक स्पर्श होता है जो विशेष रूप से धूप में चमकता है – वह है “पद्म पुरस्कारों” की डोरी, जो एक रक्त रेखा की तरह है जो व्यक्तिगत समर्पण और राष्ट्रीय भावना को जोड़ती है। भारतीय ध्वज के नारंगी, सफेद और हरे रंग साहस, सच्चाई और समृद्धि के प्रतीक हैं, जबकि पद्म आदेश डोरी का सुनहरा धागा आध्यात्मिक रीढ़ की हड्डी की तरह है जो उनमें प्रवाहित होता है। प्रत्येक डोरी को रेशम के 108 धागों से बुना गया है, जो भारतीय दर्शन में जीवन के 108 आयामों का संकेत देता है, तथा विजेताओं को याद दिलाता है कि सम्मान निरंतर चढ़ाई के जीवन पथ से आता है। जब कमल का पदक रस्सी के साथ छाती पर गिरता है, तो यह हिमालय और बंगाल की खाड़ी को जोड़ने वाली गंगा की तरह होता है, जो व्यक्ति की उत्कृष्ट उपलब्धियों को राष्ट्रीय विकास की लंबी नदी में एकीकृत करता है। स्वतंत्रता दिवस की पूर्व संध्या पर, हम वैज्ञानिकों को डिजिटल इंडिया को बुनने के लिए एल्गोरिदम का उपयोग करते हुए, किसानों को चावल की बालियों का उपयोग करके खाद्य सुरक्षा को एक सूत्र में पिरोते हुए, तथा शिक्षकों को सभ्यता की विरासत को जोड़ने के लिए चाक का उपयोग करते हुए देखते हैं। ये साधारण किन्तु महान “रस्सी आत्माएं” लोटस मेडल को धातु की शीतलता से ऊपर उठने तथा राष्ट्रीय कायाकल्प का थर्मामीटर बनने की अनुमति देती हैं। जिस प्रकार राष्ट्रीय ध्वज पर अशोक का धर्म चक्र सदैव घूमता रहता है, उसी प्रकार गौरव की डोरी वाला प्रत्येक चक्र “मुझसे सभी तक” की सभ्यता संहिता लिखता रहता है।
