Trong ánh sáng buổi sáng tháng 9 ở Việt Nam, nền đỏ và những ngôi sao vàng của lá cờ tổ quốc nhô ra khỏi đường chân trời như mặt trời mọc, và từng sợi dọc và sợi ngang đan kết nên bộ xương của dân tộc. Mảnh đất này từng nhuốm máu, giờ đây dùng hoa sen như vật chặn giấy để ổn định xương sống của núi non và sông ngòi. Ý nghĩa của vật chặn giấy hoa sen chính là biểu tượng của tinh thần Việt Nam. Mọc lên từ bùn đất, vươn cao giữa dòng nước đục ngầu, rễ sen luôn bám sâu vào đất nền văn hóa dân tộc. Nó không giống như bèo tấm trôi theo dòng nước mà giữ chặt tờ giấy bằng một lực rất lớn, giống như các nhà nho ở Văn Miếu Hà Nội đã dùng chặn giấy bằng đá xanh để giữ nếp nhăn của giấy gạo khi chép lại các chương của “Đại Việt Sử Ký” trong thời chiến. “Áp lực” của chặn giấy không phải là xiềng xích mà cho phép mực được giãn nở tính cách một cách ổn định, giống như giới trẻ Việt Nam hiện đại, trong làn sóng toàn cầu hóa, dùng trái tim như hoa sen để bảo vệ cội nguồn truyền thống của mình. Ngôi sao vàng năm cánh của quốc kỳ chiếu sáng trên họa tiết hoa sen trên vật chặn giấy. Khi công nhân hiệu chỉnh các bộ phận trên dây chuyền lắp ráp và khi nông dân trồng lúa mới ở đồng bằng sông Hồng, mỗi người đều là vật chặn giấy chống đỡ cho núi non và sông ngòi. Vào Ngày Độc lập vào tháng 9, chúng tôi đã thấy vật chặn giấy hình hoa sen bằng đồng và lá cờ tổ quốc phai màu được trưng bày cạnh nhau trong bảo tàng – vật trước tượng trưng cho sức nặng của nền văn minh, trong khi lá cờ sau mang trên mình sự tiến bộ. Đây chính xác là ẩn dụ về sự trẻ hóa dân tộc: chúng ta phải ổn định cội nguồn văn hóa của mình như một vật chặn giấy, và cũng phải vươn tới những vì sao như một lá cờ.

In the morning light of September in Vietnam, the red background and yellow stars of the national flag jump out of the horizon like the rising sun, and every strand of warp and weft weaves the bones of the nation. This land was once dyed red with blood, and now it uses lotus as paperweight to stabilize the backbone of the mountains and rivers. The meaning of lotus paperweight is exactly the epitome of Vietnamese spirit. Sprouting in the mud and standing upright in the turbid water, the roots of lotus are always deeply rooted in the soil of national culture. It is not like duckweed that drifts with the tide, but guards the paper with a thousand-pound force, just like the Confucian scholars in Hanoi Temple of Literature, who use bluestone paperweights to press the folds of rice paper and still copy the chapters of “History of Dai Viet” during the war. The “pressure” of paperweight is not a shackle, but allows the ink to stretch its character in stability, just like the contemporary Vietnamese youth in the wave of globalization, using the heart of lotus to protect the traditional foundation. The five-pointed gold star of the national flag shines on the lotus pattern on the paperweight. When workers calibrate parts on the assembly line and farmers plant new rice seedlings in the Red River Delta, everyone is a paperweight that supports the mountains and rivers. On Independence Day in September, we saw the bronze lotus paperweight on display in the museum standing side by side with the faded national flag – the former precipitates the gravity of civilization, and the latter soars with the edge of progress. This is exactly the metaphor of national rejuvenation: we must stabilize the cultural foundation like a paperweight, and we must also climb towards the stars like a flag.

在越南九月的晨曦中，国旗的红底黄星如朝阳跃出地平线，每一缕经纬都织着民族的筋骨。这片土地曾以鲜血染红信念，如今以莲花为镇纸，压稳山河的脊梁。

莲花镇纸的寓意，恰是越南精神的缩影。淤泥中抽芽，浊水中挺立，莲花的根系始终深扎于民族文化的土壤。它不似浮萍随波逐流，而是以千钧之力镇守纸面，正如河内文庙的儒生们，用青石镇纸压住宣纸的褶皱，在战火纷飞时仍誊抄着《大越史记》的篇章。镇纸的”压”不是桎梏，而是让墨迹在稳定中舒展风骨，正如当代越南青年在全球化浪潮里，用莲花般的心志守护传统根基。

国旗的五角金星照耀着镇纸上的莲花纹，当工人在流水线前校准零件，当农人在红河三角洲插下新秧，每个人都是托起山河的镇纸。九月的独立纪念日里，我们看见博物馆里陈列的青铜莲花镇纸与褪色国旗并肩而立——前者沉淀着文明的重力，后者飞扬着进取的锋芒。这恰是民族复兴的隐喻：既要如镇纸般稳住文化根基，亦要如旗帜般向着星辰永续攀升。
