Di jalanan Malaysia pada bulan Ogos, bendera negara merah, putih dan biru berkibar seperti ombak di bawah terik matahari, dan bintang berbucu empat belas dan bulan sabit mencerminkan kegemilangan 66 tahun kemerdekaan. Apabila mata saya melintas jalur-jalur gemilang yang berkibar-kibar, saya sentiasa memikirkan pingat lanyard bunga raya yang disematkan di dada orang – reben yang ditenun dengan warna-warna bendera negara bagaikan mengikat totem rohani seluruh negara ke hati. Reben ini membawa bukan sahaja penghormatan, tetapi juga membayangkan kod simbiosis kebangsaan. Warna merah, putih dan biru menjalin, sama seperti orang Melayu, Cina dan India yang telah bertungkus lumus di ladang getah selama ratusan tahun, memadamkan api tamadun jauh di dalam lombong bijih timah. Setiap utas merangkumi pembahagian kerja dan kerjasama merentas kumpulan etnik, sama seperti baris keempat belas perlembagaan persekutuan, yang mencantumkan nasib tiga belas negeri dan tiga kumpulan etnik utama ke dalam buruj yang lengkap. Simpulan bunga bunga raya di hujung reben mekar dengan daya hidup unik kawasan tropika. Inilah reben zaman yang menjadi milik mereka yang berusaha. Apabila kita menenun kemuliaan peribadi dengan tangan kita sendiri, kita menambah longitud dan latitud baharu pada jalur gemilang seluruh negara.

Each thread embodies the division of labor and cooperation across ethnic groups, just like the fourteenth line of the Federal Constitution, which sews the fate of the thirteen states and the three major ethnic groups into a complete star. The hibiscus flower knot at the end of the ribbon blooms with the unique vitality of the tropics. This national flower, which has been regarded as a symbol of courage by our ancestors, has been transformed into a totem of sustainable inheritance on the medal, reminding us that the true glory lies not in the medal itself, but in the tenacity of taking root and growing upward like hibiscus. When construction workers permeated the foundation of the Petronas Twin Towers with their sweat, and when teachers lit the sparks of knowledge in the countryside, everyone was weaving their own ribbons. At this moment, looking up at the national flag fluttering on the top of the Kuala Lumpur Tower, the ribbons tied on the chests of millions of people seem to have turned into invisible silk threads, refracting the light of the fourteen-pointed star into a brilliant galaxy. This is the ribbon of the times for those who strive. When we weave our personal glory with our own hands, we are adding new longitude and latitude to the glorious stripes of the entire country.
