When the spring is turned, the hibiscus flower on the top of the music box stretches its petals to the melody, just like the unique brilliance of each ethnic group in the process of national development. This music box, which symbolizes the eternity of time, has the oath of the ancestors to fight for independence engraved on the base, and the sweat of the fishing villages on the east coast and the rubber plantations in West Malaysia condensed in the axis. When the melody of “Jalur Gemilang” flows from the box, every note is a reminder: just as a music box requires the precise coordination of each part, the progress of a country depends on the dedication of every citizen. In this National Day month, let us use unity as the spring and tolerance as the melody, so that this music box carrying the spirit of the national flag and the faith of the hibiscus flower will always rotate and echo hope under the equatorial sun.
