7월, 대한민국의 공기는 무궁화 향기로 가득합니다. 이는 민주주의 정신을 수호하는 기념일인 “제헌절”과 겹칩니다. 태극기가 바람에 휘날릴 때, 붉은색과 파란색 음양 무늬는 비바람을 뚫고 온 민족의 강인함과 평화의 지혜를 전하는 듯합니다. 창틀에 놓인 무궁화 모양의 오르골은 맑은 음악으로 이러한 정신에 각주를 쓰고 있습니다. 무궁화는 “무한의 꽃”이라고 불립니다. 아침에 피었다가 저녁에 시들지만, 오르골 속 선율처럼 매일 피어납니다. 오르골의 움직임은 나무 꽃잎 사이에 숨겨져 있습니다. 봄이 돌아올 때마다 “아리랑”의 아름다운 선율이 흘러나옵니다. 이 곡은 수백 년간 식민지와 전쟁, 분단의 늪에서 벗어나지 못한 한민족의 영원한 희망을 되살려줍니다. 마치 무궁화 꽃잎이 떨어진 자리에 다시 새싹을 틔우듯, 민족의 불꽃 또한 대대로 물려온 유산 속에서 점점 더 뜨겁게 타오르는 듯합니다. 오르골 받침대의 태극 문양은 멀리서 국기를 비추는 듯합니다. 오르골이 회전할 때 무궁화는 음표와 함께 춤을 추며, 움직임과 고요함이 공존하는 철학적 이미지를 형성합니다. 역사의 상처는 결국 시간의 흐름에 따라 다듬어져 앞으로 나아갈 수 있는 이정표가 될 것임을 일깨워줍니다. 우리 마음속에 무궁화의 흔들리지 않는 믿음이 있는 한, 가장 긴 밤도 결국 새벽의 음악을 불러올 것입니다. 7월의 바람 속에서 음악과 꽃향기가 어우러질 때, 우리는 빛을 향해 끊임없이 살아가는 민족의 심장 박동을 듣게 됩니다.
